Signing in & joining a stable

Get into Nose without a password — and the ways you become a member of a stable.

On this page

Nose doesn't use passwords. Getting in comes down to two simple ideas: signing in (proving it's you) and being a member of a stable (having access to its schedule, wallet, and passes). They're not the same thing, and this page covers both.

Signing in — no password

You sign in with your email. Open the sign-in page (a stable's link takes you there too) and pick one of:

  • A sign-in link — Nose emails you a link; click it and you're in.
  • A one-time code — Nose emails you a short code; type it in. Handy on a phone or in the installed app.
  • Google — if you first signed up with Google, use the same Google button.

Always use the same email each time — that's what identifies you across every stable. There's no password to remember and nothing to reset.

Ways to join a stable

Signing in proves who you are; on its own it doesn't add you to a stable. Here are the ways you become a member:

  1. Self sign-up at the stable's page. If the stable turned this on, open its link — for example `horsenose.eu/visit/your-stable` — and choose Sign in / Join in the top corner. Sign in with your email and you're added as a rider on the spot. You'll see this button when you open the link while signed out; if it isn't there, the stable hasn't turned on self sign-up (see below).
  2. Ask to join a ride — no account needed. On a stable's public schedule, tap any upcoming ride, leave your name and email, and send the request. The stable approves it on their side. If you didn't have an account, one is created for you when they accept — then just sign in with the same email. See Visiting a stable.
  3. An invitation from the stable. The stable emails you a one-click link; open it, press Accept invitation, and you're in. See Accepting an invitation.
  4. A parent or guardian adds you. A family member who manages your riding can add you to their own account, so you don't need a separate email. See Family accounts.

I already have a Nose account

Your account is the same everywhere — one email, one profile — across every stable you belong to. But joining a new stable still needs one of the ways above; signing in by itself won't add you to it.

If you open a new stable's link while already signed in and don't see a way to join, that stable either hasn't turned on self sign-up or prefers to add its riders itself. The dependable route is to ask the stable to invite you (below). If the stable does offer self sign-up and you'd rather use that, sign out first, then reopen the stable's link and choose Sign in / Join.

Can't find a way in? Ask the stable

A stable can always add you directly, so you're never stuck:

  • Contact the stable — the person who runs your lessons, or the stable's admin.
  • Ask them to invite you by email, and give them the exact address you want to sign in with.
  • Then watch your inbox (and your spam folder) for the invitation, and check they used the right address.

If you signed up and landed on a screen with no stable yet, that's expected — there's no way to search for a stable there. Your stable brings you in through one of the ways above; just ask them to invite you.

Good to know

  • One account, many stables. If you ride at more than one stable, they all share the same login and profile. You switch between them from your account. See Your account.
  • Changing your email changes how you sign in. Nose sends a confirmation link to the new address before the change takes effect.
  • You can sign in from anywhere. The web app, the phone home-screen app, and a stable's shared link all lead to the same sign-in.
