Delete my account

Close your account for good — what happens, the 30-day grace period, and how to change your mind.

On this page

The Delete my account page closes your Nose account for good. It's reachable from your Account page, under Delete my account.

What deletion actually does

Your name and email are replaced with a placeholder. Your past rides stay in your stables' records, but without anything that identifies you. Financial records belong to each stable's own books — the stable, not Nose, keeps those for as long as the law requires. After 30 days the change is permanent.

Requesting deletion

  1. Open Delete my account.
  2. Type DELETE into the confirmation box.
  3. Optionally, tell us why in the reason field — this is not required.
  4. Press Delete my account.
  5. You may be asked to confirm your identity again before the request goes through.

If you're the only admin of one or more stables, the request is blocked. You'll need to transfer admin to someone else, or archive those stables, before you can delete your account.

Once your request is accepted, you'll get a confirmation email with a link back to the grace-period page, and you land there directly.

The 30-day grace period

Deletion doesn't happen immediately. For 30 days, your request sits in a grace period — your account still exists, and you can change your mind.

While you're in the grace period:

  • A banner appears telling you your account is scheduled for deletion, with the date, and a link to reverse it.
  • The grace-period page shows the same date and a Reverse deletion button.
  • Pressing Reverse deletion cancels the request immediately and your account carries on as normal.

If the 30 days pass without you reversing it, the deletion becomes permanent and can no longer be undone.

Good to know

  • Deletion only goes through once you type DELETE exactly.
  • You can't submit a second deletion request while one is already in progress — you'll be taken straight to the grace-period page instead.
  • Being the sole admin of a stable blocks deletion until you hand off or archive it.
