Create a stable

Set up your own stable in a couple of minutes — the stable-basics form, the stables picker, and where the guided first-run setup fits in.

Nose is organised around stables — every schedule, horse, customer, and euro (or złoty) lives inside one. This page covers where you create one, what you fill in, and the guided setup you're offered the first time you sign in with no stable of your own yet.

Your stables

If you belong to more than one stable, signing in takes you to Your stables — a simple list of every stable you're a member of, with your role next to each one.

Your stables — the picker you land on with more than one stable.

  • Click any stable in the list to open it.
  • If you have a pending invitation waiting in your inbox, it's called out at the top of the page — accept it from the email itself.
  • At the bottom of the page, Run your own stable? Create one starts a brand new stable.

If you only belong to a single stable, Nose skips this list entirely and takes you straight there.

Creating a stable

To set up a new stable:

  1. Open Create a stable (from the link above, or go there directly).
  2. Fill in the form:
The create-a-stable form.
The create-a-stable form.
  • Stable name — your stable's real name, shown throughout the app (for example "Green Meadows Riding School").
  • URL identifier — the short, URL-safe name used in your stable's web address. It's filled in automatically from the name you type, but you can edit it — lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. Some words are reserved and can't be used, and it must be unique across all of Nose.
  • Default language — Polish, English, or German.
  • Currency — the currency you charge your own customers in (PLN, EUR, or CZK).
  • Billing country — the country Nose bills your stable from. This sets your payment provider and is separate from the currency you charge your customers.
  • Timezone — your stable's timezone, used for the schedule and reports.
  1. Click Create stable.

You land straight on your new stable's dashboard. Every setting here can be changed later in Settings — nothing is locked in.

The guided first-run setup

If you're a brand-new user with no stable and no pending invitation, your very first sign-in doesn't drop you on the empty stable list — it opens a short, full-screen setup trail that gathers everything above (plus your working hours, ride types, team and horses) in one guided pass, and creates your stable along the way.

That whole journey has its own page: [Your first setup](/docs/getting-started/first-run-setup). The Stable basics step there is exactly the create-a-stable form described above.

Good to know

  • The create-a-stable form is always available, even after your first stable — that's how you run more than one yard from a single login.
  • A pending invitation always takes priority — if someone has invited you to their stable, you're sent to accept it instead of creating a new one.
  • Any URL identifier that's already taken, or reserved by Nose itself, is rejected with a clear message so you can pick another.
  • There's a limit on how many stables you can create in a short period, to stop abuse — if you hit it, wait a bit and try again.
